Recent reports by the think tank Civil Exchange have concluded that people feel unable to influence local decisions, as communities have weakened. Pubs, churches, cinemas, banks, post offices and libraries - all important components of the community where locals interact, are closing.

It doesn’t have to be this way! We can all start strengthening communities today by connecting with local groups and projects. This positive action can provide a sense of purpose and achievement, reduce feelings of loneliness, build confidence and self-esteem, improve health and wellbeing, and produce greater pride in your local area.

Team4Nature is offering community groups free advertising, within our local networks. All that we ask is that you demonstrate a positive connection with nature through your mission statement or activities. Once you have experienced the power of nature, you may, understandably, wish to amend your organisation’s mission statement and activities to include it.

One of Team4Nature’s most ambitious aims is to bring all places of worship together, in each local network, to help protect and enhance local parks, nature reserves and other green and blue spaces. We all have differences, but it is what we share that is important. This is the basis upon which we can all work together for a common cause; to look after creation itself, and restore it to its former glory.

We are also looking to forge strong partnerships with regional and national community organisations that embrace the power of nature in their work, or intend to do so.
